The magnet is strong enough to pull the plug but not so strong itll pull from the ratchet

But if you need to change plugs which are not as easily accessable like just about all vehicles these days then these will not leave your plug behind like the rubber ones sometimes do

Replaced four plugs that were in holes deep in the cylinder head and they had no problem extracting them

Second choice is to stick a piece of fuel or vacuum line over the plug contact end to lower the plug more gently into well then try to use the piece of tooflexible line or purpose made tool built similar to a piece of line with a handle to carefully start the threads so that the line will pull off the contact letting you put the noninsert socket in place
