Pros & Cons
Pros
A couple minutes with a dremel tool is far preferable to replacing a whole bike trailer over an axel that was 2mm too wide for the old mount. Easy to install, strong and sturdy.
This works perfectly with our mountain bikes. My critique is for those looking to use this on an ebike. But it works fine without it. Does exactly what it needs too, and is much safer now. Works with giant escape 1 bikes.
This one fits perfectly. It fits my huffy cruiser perfectly! Fits 12mm through axle with no issues.
Very impressed with this product. Great sturdy product. Would buy again if needed.
Cons
Part should have been inspected before shipping. Unable to use.
Highlights
Quality
Works great with the instep trailer i bought
These work great with the qd mount on my trek marlin 4
That said the official instep coupler that came with the trailer also does not reach that hole on my husbands bike
One came with the bike trailer i didn’t neec to order another one
Price
The price was so good and it was so easy to instal
Was worried it would work with the bike attachment but did perfectly toddler double seater and the price was a steal at the moment
I dont think the price is really strong and kind of overpriced for the small piece that it is
Competitiveness
First it does what it says it does so my critique is for those looking to use this on an ebike

It didnt work for me as the nut on my bike axel has a flange on it for safety purposes
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Due to the flange i was unable to screw the nut on more than a few threads so not safe for my bike
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
A new nut without the flange could fix the issue so long as it doesnt compromise any safety features the flange is part of

I thought it seemed unsafe so i googled things and found this

It is very awkward trying to get the hitch installed

Look closely and you will notice that the coupler has a recessed hole into which the axle nut must recess
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
My bike came with flange nuts on the rear axle which were too wide at the bottom to countersink into this recessed hole

I therefore had to shim it up above the uneven face of the coupler with a couple of really thick lock washers i happened to have lying around
