The cover is durable and well made. Even with the smelly * juice incidents that can occur. However, i was used to my old style zipper.

The big barker 7 pillowtop is a godsend! Big barker is like no other. And they are well fed hefty dogs. Costco has some adequate beds for a good price when available.

During the day we shove it under my kids twin and it slides out at night. The barker foam is much softer, allowing the dog to compress it and feel the floor. I often step on it in socks just to feel it and marvel at how great it is.

Cons

My 7 year old golden retriever hates both the beds i bought. It’s just foam. Not has supportive like described, have two mastiffs and the moment they step on the bed shrinks down to the floor.

It is in fact merely a mat that lies on the top of the bed, in between the foam and the cover.
