It provides an overall sense of warmth that is comforting and encompassing. Fits the pillow top mattress very well. My elderly dog loves it too. Everyone loves them.
Blanket has dual controls which is great to set your own heat. No buzzing, no bulky boxes, no bumpy coils. Plug and play. If you have an 8000 btu window unit, that connects to a 15 amp outlet. No other appliances on that line.
When i crawl into the sheets, my bed is so toasty warm. Some areas of the bed are cooler than others. I prefer to crank it up before getting into bed so that it's warm and then shutting if off for the night.
It warms up fast and stays consistant no matter what setting. The heat envelopes you rather than being just on top of you. The furnace now comes on fewer hours of the night. This * heats up fast - the most important feature!

While this is probably a designmanufacturing issue i feel that the heat strips could go further down at the foot side of the blanket
