Pros

Food processor is great for small tasks like chopping garlic, shallots, parsley etc. Great for things like making hummus or condiment sauces. Also great for making smoothie and pesto.

It's a great space saver, since the base is a lot smaller than most of the other processors. You only need one base for the 2 appliance. Anything that saves us space by condensing or being multi-functional is highly attractive.

The base is a little wider than most and not flimsy like most other blenders. The thick, glass blender jar is squat instead of tall and thin, which seems to make blending things easier because the ingredients can easily move around near the blade. Oth...  Read More

The unit works as advertised. When using the product as a blender, it seems to perform just as well as any other blender we've owned. The only negative to the unit as a whole is how loud it is to me.

Bought a reconditioned version for an extremely cheap price. Both of these items are replaceable - i'm just a procrastinator.



Cons

This is the loudest kitchen appliance i have ever heard. Enough to leave my ears ringing after making a batch of hummus.

    Within the first few months the plastic cap on the blender broke really it is a cheapo thing which simply fell from the countertop i was miffed but cuisinart customer service was really helpful an sent me a replacement for free

    Update may 2013 its been 12 years and i no longer have this item i sold or donated it when i moved crosscountry in 2009

    When i move to a larger place i will probably invest in a big blender like the  vitamix 1782 turboblend 2 speed  and a fullsized food processor
