Pros

This review is for the 80 ohms version of the dt 990 pro headset. Without an amp, these headphones really shine.

With the proper setup, these headphones are a major w. It’s still 3 metres, but bunched straight cable is easier to deal with than coiled cable for portability. The roi on these headphones is off the charts!

I’m in love with these, where are the gripes? I love that these are meant to be repairable – a solid metal band with replaceable pads make it obvious these are built for the long haul.

Cons

Overall build is cheap garbage. Metal arms that hold the ear cups in place are super flimsy.

Whether it is the seller or beyer's fault is open for discussion.

Sound quality is great and all but i have sat on them several times they have fallen off my desk they have been tossed a time or two

As of buying this the price was immensely discounted from their original msrp

But keep in mind the price can always change later

These do everything i need them to and its a tenfold upgrade from the astro a40s

They’re great open backs to pair and trade off with my sony wh1000 mx3’s

If youre a heavy basshead i wouldnt really recommend

I first tried a set of sennheisers that were terrific at the time i had not heard of beyerdynamic
