Pros
The velour ear pads are extremely comfortable. Only complaint is that the pad on the head is coated with the same thin synthetic rubber that covers most headphone pads.
Great build quality, pretty light chassis and a comfortable clamping force. Considering how much gaming headphones cost, these are a steal.

The treble is very present but also very smooth. Bass is strong and punchy but not at all distorted.
The dt990 has a much clearer sound than the sennheiser hd560s. The treble of the dt990 gives everything a very clear sound. The big difference is that the meze phones seemed to have deaper bass with more impact.
Cons
Hd598s are so much better.
It's just boring, dull, and a bit fatiguing with all the extra bass. Bass distortion is non-directional. Punching up the bass seems like a b-2-c consumer move.
The sound was muffled and distant. The soundstage on these headphones is simply cowardly. They just cower to the back of the room.

Competitiveness
I paired these with a schiit stack yup which drives this 600ohm model perfectly
I have a schiit magni 3 modi stack and i have the magni 3 on high gain at about noon for these to be about the right volume for me
The sennheisers overear model sounded mediocre and felt kinda cheap and uncomfortable
I have a schiit modi 3 on order but im not sure its needed

The ear cups are very narrow but soft but again unfortunately it’s not a comfortable cushion it’s rigid enough to where it actually creates a little bit of pain from prolonged wear for more than a hour not made to be worn for more than 30 minutes i guess because after an hour my head hurt and i actually had a headache so i’m not sure if it was just the model i got but it definitely is uncomfortable and painful sadly not going to return it though i will use it for something else later hope this helped someone

It is comfortable and perfectly fine when you first start using these headphones however after a couple years of use they deteriorate into a sticky mess
