Highlights
Quality
After researching many headphones i decided to give the beyerdynamic dt150s a try
Dont buy if you want phones that sound pretty
Build quality is very good and solid and its comfortable to wear even tho its sort of low tech in its bulky 70s aesthetic design
With their closed back design and high quality sound i no longer need to waste time and space switching between two sets of headphones
Competitiveness
These ones are gonna replace my hd650 for shure

Its certainly counter to the presentation of a lot of modern hifi its balanced to my ear its not neurotically extracting detail though i never dont hear something new when i use them even on familiar recordings its not driving subbass to impress though it does have the capacity to make enormous bass if its there its not trying to attain batear treble though ive heard it characterized as a dark headphone which it isnt

I definitely do and suspect these will be going nowhere until they eventually expire after which theyll be immediately replaced with another pair

I had been using akg k240 headphones for music production and liked them for their relatively honest sound but for voice over their open back design wasnt practical as bleed could render takes unusable

The bleed issue was gone but they sounded awful stifled and boxy and were unusable for mixing

But of course the bass isnt always that prominent as it shouldnt be in genres like jazz
