Put the end of the tool on a flat service and insert the pointy end into the pin to be removed

Then take a hammer or a meat mallet which i used to tap down on the band and the pin will pop out

If it does not come out you may be hammering from the wrong side

Remove the links you need and hammer the pin back in

Wish they gave directions on how to do this as i read some reviews that stated how it was impossible to get the pins out and the tool bent while doing it
