However on the third day the screwon cap with the tree design somehow came unscrewed and fell off without my knowing

As a consequence the felt pad would no longer stay in place and it eventually fell out too

The only thing i can think of is that my work shoulder bag must have been rubbing against it as i walked causing it to become unscrewed

Its pretty sad that that is all it takes to lose the cap
