The temperature display is very helpful in a young childs room as well as the fact that when it is lit at night its not bright but it is visible

This alarm clock is battery operated so after installing 3 aaas we got it all set up

There is also a sensor switch that turns on a dim white light in dark rooms so you can see it during the night

As far as the alarm itself when it goes off it starts out with one slow calm beep and gradually more beeps are added if the alarm hasnt been turned off

If the snooze button is pressed while the alarm is going off the beeps stop and will go off 5 minutes later

If no button is pressed and the alarm finishes its series of beeps on its own the alarm turns itself off and thats it
