I can push the warmer forward flush with back of the head but then ear pads cover ears part of the jaw and cheek
they are well padded no wires felt when wearing them but you can feel the tension wire frame with your hands when trying to shrink the size
When generous size ear pads rest on my ears rather than extending onto my face i have room for a fist to fit between back of warmer and my head
What you see in the picture is about as much as they fold
