The bulbs are not glass like it at first appears but rather a rubbery epoxy

Four stars because they are too large to exactly replace the halogen bulbs they are advertised to replace the uv filter of those fixtures has to be removed in order to make room for these bulbs

These lamps are potted in what appears to be clear silicone which should perform well in dissipating residual heat from the led chips

These bulbs are a great replacement bulb and the light is just as bright as the halogen however the thickness of the bulb made it impossible to use in my under cabinet lights without first removing the glass lens

The original halogen bulbs constantly burn out and ive been looking for an alternative for some time now

Glass might have to be removed to make them fit but no biggie

I had to trim the metal prongs with wire cutters to make them fit my pods under the cabinets
