These are true blackout curtains i was pleasantly surprised that they actually worked because theyre just one layer of material and seemed so thin

The only potential issue is that light seeps over the top of the curtains because theyre hung on a rod and not flush with the wallwindow

I did find a blackout curtain rod that curves to the wall on the sides instead of being a straight bar which eliminates light coming in on the sides at least
