Pros

Box is waterproof, and corrals/protects the many small items in any survival kit. Perfect for backpacks, perfect for keeping fire starting kit. Uses are endless.

The only improvmemt i could note is the rollers, which keep the lid in place, could be a bit more snappy. Gasket provides protection against moisture. Only thing that will degrade on those when exposed to fire is the sealing gasket on the lid.

It's like opening a box full of turpentine-y heaven. The tin feels very sturdy and the overall weight is very light. This tin is very lightweight and offers a surprising amount of storage space.

Cons

This box is not at all as described in the amazon description. That's just plain deceitful. Nowhere is that written on the actual packaging of the box itself. My mistake for not paying more attention to the dimensions.

The gasket is light enough that combined with the weak clasp i would not trust this tin to be submerged at all

Id like these boxes more if the price point were a bit lower

I did not remove any stars as this was likely done at the sellers or in shipping and i do not believe was a defect from the manufacturer

Good value when compared to other options

I feel like even though its a great box it was made in china so it shouldnt retail for 14 dollars

You shouldnt use it in a campfire at all

I dont mind the light gauge construction but i really wish the clasps were heavier duty with a positive foldover locking hinge
