It protects an otherwise fragile material. Purchased another to keep in purse too. The case is cheaper than other one with case but i guess more than just a plastic sleeve.
This works so dang well! I highly recommend them. If your looking for a wonderful nail file choose glass and choose this brand.
Good value (reusable) and pretty. Not sure of longevity but claims to last a long time. This glass file is quite handy and very easy to use.

Ive tried to purchase other glass files and they are too thick and make filing my nails difficult
