To remove links look underneath the strap and there are small arrows on the links indicating the direction in which to use to tool to remove the pins from the links

It took about 15 minutes to remove 4 links for a closer fit and to attach the strap to the watch

Also link removal tool is cheap however came with 3 spare pin push rods and i have used to remove links from many watches with no issues
