Pros
The color management is hardware based, so i was able to calibrate by scanner to be as close as possible to my macs. It plays well with i1profiler monitor calibrator. I can seamlessly switch between inputs with everything connected.
The benq is the cat's meow. It sits securely on my desk and eliminated the need for a monitor riser. Cable routing, a pocket for controller and easy height and angle adjustment make up for reduced motion and desktop space.
This one meets every technical criteria and does so in 2560x1440 resolution. The only thing i wish was different is that it was 4k, but this resolution works nicely.
Cons
The sw2700pt also exhibits a noticeable uniformity problem where the edges are miscolored. Like others i have color shifting magenta on the left, though some patchiness across the whole of the monitor is noticeable as well. Windows device manager show... Read More
A shame. This is the second one i'm going to have to return for deceiving amazon listings. I almost never write reviews but this experience has been such a great disappointment that i feel others need to be warned.

Quality
So far i feel that the image quality is everything i had hoped for
Love the quality and the colors of this thing
To hardware calibrate you must use one of the recommended colorimeter otherwise you can everytime calibrate with the colorimeter
I will update review if there is a problem with the new monitor
Price
This monitor performs to a very high standard well better than the price implies
The color on this thing is amazing for the price
For what this monitor costs i should probably have sent it back but im not going to
Packaging/appearance
My only complaint is that my monitor has four spec on the inside of the of the screen
I have not had a chance to use it for very long but it is very nice right out of the box
The biggest drawback to me was that the monitor was not calibrated well out of the box
I threw in the towel and decided the benq was worth the price and omg the difference is amazing so accurate right out of the box
Competitiveness
So far ive been nothing but impressed with this monitor especially for the price point compared to the competition
Nice hood is included which all competitors charge extra for
I doubt i would notice much of a difference going to a 1 or 2ms monitor
My previous primary monitor is a dell ultrasharp u2711 argb ips screen that was the cats meow back in 2011

The monitor was great for the first 5 months then the screen started flickering but only when on the display port

I have another monitor from the asus professional line and after seeing them side by side the benq really puts the asus to shame
