Pros

Make sure that you put the pot a bit on the edge of the burner so the handle is not over the fire. Do it over the sink instead of the stove. It is sometimes hard to remove the ground coffee container from base where the water goes.

Cons

This pot leaks from the side really bad causing a burnt and bitter coffee. The gasket is either of poor quality or improperly affixed. This leads to steam leaking often leaking out the sides of the pot just as the boil chamber reaches pressure.

Only good thing is that it does have a silicone seal. Not worth the bother of returning it. That is the lesson i learnt after buying this. Buy only items that are sold and shipped by amazon.

If you are still bullish on buying aluminum then maybe consider a more reputable maker or if you are a pessimist like me, buy a stainless steel one. However, it begins to stain and rust within about 2 weeks of use, despite immediate cleaning.

I got lazy and tried to wash my first pot, which i used for about 6 months, in the dishwasher.

Price

I got the best coffee maker and so affordable.

Fortunately, replacements are plentiful and inexpensive, and i have no one to blame but myself.

As a pure espresso, it is not quite as strong as a $1000 machine might put out but for the price, no complaints.

Coffe pot was received ahead of schedule.

Competitiveness

Havent had any issues like this with the bellemain, which is made in the usa and a bargain compared to bialetti prices.

I cannot speak to its ability to compete with similar items but this has absolutely changed the way i drink coffee.
