After months of using the product i think there may have been a manufacturing defect when i had first gotten it

Here is what has worked for me1 i use medium low flame2 i make sure that i put the pot a bit on the edge of the burner so the handle is not over the fire3 as soon as the coffee is done i remove from the flame following points 1 3 the handle does not even get hot4 i only clean the pot with a sponge and soap warm water

I guess it is because it is a tight seal but i almost sent it back because i could not pull the part where the coffee goes out to add water to the base there really is nowhere to grip it and if you push against the walls you are making things worse and you are making the seal tighter

The two are identical in size but the filters and gaskets are not interchangeable

The inside of the water reservoir is not polished making it look cheap and unrefined
