It's extremely sturdy, easy to use/switch thickness. But it's quite finicky in terms of the types of cheese you can use with it. Upon closer inspection, i was impressed with its entire construction.

This one is stainless, heavy duty, works beautifully! Seems like it would last forever. You know how fast some can break or get dull.

For the same reasons, i advise potential buyers to consider its slightly pricier competitors, which have proven to address these issues more effectively. Very disappointed. Save your money on this and look elsewhere.

The handle and frame of this device is not stainless steel. It's chrome plated brass, and i recently embedded a piece of the chrome plating into my hand when it broke off during cleaning. It is not food safe if you wash it in the dishwasher.
