Pros

This is one of those books that i would recommend to anyone. The notes are thorough and helpful; there isn't a bibliography. This should be required reading.

Atul gawande's prose is extraordinarily well written and extremely readable. Gawande presents the care of three individuals and how they dealt with their terminal illnesses.

This book does a great job helping to understand the role of hospice. Anyone providing healthcare services needs this book to make them a better clinician and care giver.

All of us are mortal. Deciding what is important to us as we die is incredibly important.
