Robert sapolsky's behave is an incredible achievement. The author uses humor and story to good effect. Fascinating insights on every page, including in many of the footnotes at the bottom of the pages--in teeny tiny print, but oh well.

Author regurgitates what the stanford professor says about frontal cortex damage. To dismiss behaviorism and, presumably, all of the behavioral research conducted over the past 90 years, says to me that he is not a real scientist.
I find myself having to re-read sections over and over because i keep loosing interest. Content subjects are disorganized. Tedious and repetitive.
It is entirely erroneous to think of karma as some transcendental unitary entity that acts like a god in a theistic system. The language continues based on a completely materialistic belief system.
The issue of gender difference in math scores is about the tail of the distribution of math scores, not the average. More consistent has been a link between lower intelligence and a subtype of conservatism.

Instead things are explained in a way that rightly acknowledges the answer has to be both and quite a few other factors as well when you take the totality of human circumstances into accout

Subdoing or magnifying the tendancy towards a behaviorwhile this book could be useful in research or academic circles its not written in the dry reference style that those types of books often are so its more accessible
