So the purchase was made the unit arrived and i followed the instructions for installation

From the point of order through the completion of the installation there was only one minor bump in the road and that involved updating the software on the unit as it came in the box

Each unit needs to be connected to the internet via a computer through a provided usb cable to be registered and checked for any needed operating system and map updates

For most computerinternet savvy persons this will pose no problems except for the fact that the instructions concerning needed software for the operation is confusing and dated

It appears that unless you are using a desktop you borrowed from fred flintstone that you are not going to be able to accomplish the task but in fact software compatible with both current mac and ms operating systems is available for download by accessing the becker website

Becker simply assumes that a mercedes shop is doing all of the installations which they are not so they didnt bother
