Pros & Cons
Pros
Ukraine makes quality tools. Good strong sturdy blade. The blade is super sharp and attached to the handle very securely. Pics of my first try at a spoon.
Review comes from a retired full-time violinmaker. I am very much a beginner on a budget and this knife is more than i could have expected for less than 15$. Really like this one.
Ergonomic handle makes it easy to grip. Some may find it uncomfortable at first because of the more rectangular handle.
Cons
I figure the disclaimer is beginner. Should have guessed for the price but was hoping for something beginner level for my son. It's just too thick and not worth the hassle.
Mass produced knifes rarely come sharpened correctly. It's also not dull but not razor sharp and requires frequent stropping. The angle of the bevel is very shallow and does not cut well.

After an afternoon of carving it needed to be stropped however no amount of stropping would get the edge back
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
A brief internet search revealed that the edge needed to be reprofiled to a scandigrind
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
During use the reprofiled blade only needed stropping with compound to come back

Not the knifes fault of course
