Noise cancelling works great obviously not all sounds but it cuts out most of that annoying low plane noise

I feel like people often moan about the tone quality on these headphones but in reality you should really only buy them if you want bassey phones

Yes the noise cancelling feature does hiss slightly when nothing is playing however once music is playing this is drained out and the world around you is shut out completely
