Pros
The strike plate is a bit thick for my taste, the rug is totally my style. The rug lasts a respectable time and the plate for years.
Installation is ridiculously easy. Easy to install and is very sturdy.
The paper backing on the sticky part is multi-layer paper.
Cons
Tried many ways to separate it and expose the adhesive (fingernail, sharp knife tip, even under a magnifying glass). Could not peel the backing off the rug arrow rest. More annoyingly, the adhesive they use is garbage and did little to keep it in plac... Read More

So you may think you are peeling the paper off but youre really just peeling one layer of it hence ending up with as one review stated the whole cardboard part came off leaving just some fussy paper underneath with no sticky part to it at all

You just have to try again to start peeling the paper until you get to the sticky stuff

I had to use a scalpel to tease the edge of the paper up in order to peel it off

Before peeling the paper off the back i held it to my shelf by hand and marked the bottom so i could cut it to shape with a pair of scissors

A pen didnt work on the backing paper so i marked it with my scalpel but a sharpie would probably work i didnt want to risk getting ink on my bow

Install with care trace the outline of the shelf on the rug and cut with care not a craftsmans job
