I had long wanted to learn how to restring pearls and the catalyst to actually take that step occurred when one of my favourite vintage strands of freshwater pearls finally snapped

I found that my biggest obstacle was learning to keep the silk fairly loose after knotting at which time it was very easy to snug the knot tightly against the pearl either by using this tool or a pair of jewellers tweezers
