Pros
The usb-a to usb-c accessory is a well-crafted solution. It's a compact and sturdy little lump made from what i guess is aluminium. A protective cap is also supplied for the projectingusb-c connector.
Cons
The main problem is that i can't charge my tablet when the dongle is plugged in. You can only charge your tablet if it is plugged into the charger.

Happy with it allows passthrough for usb c which is great
I had a similar product but the shell was too plasticky
I thinj it wouldve been perfect if it could sit flush with the laptop edge etc but thats fine

Conducting a local iperf throughput test i witnessed speeds ranging from 2370 to 2420 mbps exceeding usb 2
This performance indicates that with a 5gbps adapter and nic on my pc the upper 5gbps limit of the usb 3
While it worked with my spigen case it may not be compatible with thicker or deeper cases

Just a pity that it doesnt fit when my phone is in its phone dock there is a gap for plugging the cable in but the adapter needs to be right next to the phone

This worked on its own and with the mouse adapters attached but it didnt work so well if i tried to charge something more substantial power bank torch etc through the usb3 port at the same time

When i did this the peripheral got power but the macbook would periodically thing id disconnected the charger then a few seconds later recognise it again

However this is a common occurrence with such accessories requiring a bit of force to insert the connector properly

Its worth noting that the usbc plug doesnt extend more than a couple of millimetres from the adapter potentially posing challenges with some cases or devices
