I also experienced a loss of connection to the base temp goes to zero but then realized it was because i had put an almost dead battery into the base unit with the probe

Not sure id leave the portable unit in there description talked about a timer and a clock

I dont see neither or any way to get it to produce them as there are no buttons for those functions kickstand on portable unit is hard to pop out

It has alarm when it hits the target temperature and its wireless

My only gripe is that the plastic used to make this seems very flimsy and i feel that it will break down before any other technical issue occurs
