Pros

This sharpener is really great. Great xmas gift as well. This thing is idiot-proof.

Three positions 2 for sharpening and 1 for polishing. I like that it can sharpen my curved blades too.

Cons

This product doesn't work at all for its advertised purpose. Do yourself a favor and buy one of those $3-$4 keychain pocket sharpeners. The bavarian edge label is not on the new product and look at the box that we received it in; it says ravarian edge...  Read More

Quality

Nice knife sharpener use it on all kitchen knifes leave a sharp edge

This knife sharpener is very easy to use and really works to sharpen kitchen knives

The most dull and abused knife in your junk drawer will at least be sharp enough to be useable after about ten seconds using this

I have never liked carbide sharpeners because they remove a lot of metal from the blade rather quickly and leave a crude edge

Price

For the price you cant beat it

My complaint is that i bought it for 19 two days ago

As soon as you want to buy more of a product the price goes up

This sharpener is of the 34same34 design as many others but was affordable to my budget

Shipping

I received this yesterday afternoon and it took me less than a hour to sharpen all of my knives

Competitiveness

This style of sharpeners are so much better than most others hands down surprised not more popular

I have bought so many different absorbers in the past

Then i found a zwilling sharpener at the back of the drawer and then i had a 34sharpoff34 and the bavarian edge won hands down

Had one other of another brand and found that one of the legs broke as reported by many others

I have never liked carbide sharpeners because they remove a lot of metal from the blade rather quickly and leave a crude edge

Naturally i had to try it myself

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Not what i would consider razor sharp but sharp enough for most routine tasks in the kitchen

If you find that the recommended number of strokes at the “coarse” angle of approach doesn’t produce an edge that feels sharp albeit unrefined do a few more

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The manufacturer really has no way of knowing how sharp or dull your knife or tool was to start so the recommendation is pretty arbitrary don’t take it as gospel

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It does seem to work on coarsely serrated blades although i suspect that over time a long time it will wear away the points of the serrations

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It won’t help you on cheap knives with tiny sharply pointed serrations
