Pros

Not as hq as a mousepad mat or some other flocked game mats but it does the job and is an okay price. The quality of print is amazing. It's huge and very durable.

This mat unrolls and stays put with slight raises at each end. Only negative is seems to scratch a bit too easily.

For rpgs like d&d, pathfinder, etc. It's simple and direct, just basic dungeon or city street squares. The grey and black crater pattern looks suitable for most sci fi environments.

At 4' by 4', it's sized more for wargames than tabletop rpgs. The grid is one inche but the space between is a bit bigger then i'm use to so it kinda troughs off my modular dungeon a bit.

Cons

Lightweight and thin (enough to give a papercut) and reluctant to lay flat after a week being pinned down under weights. While large enough, i'm not sure it won't pull and/or wrinkle during play. After a few days it might flatten itself out.

This review is for the cobblestone print. Ohh and supposedly in high quality printing. When you layout it out flat there is a glare from any overhead lighting that shines across the mat obscuring the picture.

An incredible value for a battlemat of this quality

If you can get this on sale or need 4834x4834 instead of 3634x3634 do it otherwise spend the same amount of cash on a neoprene mat instead

Lets just get it out of the way its not a 150 flg mat

It came quickly enough and packed well although thats amazon

I had some trouble with shipping but on reaching out to melee mats they sent a free replacement without any undue hassle

Packaging/appearance

Perfect setting for star wars armada looks great with the games pieces

I decided to put my dnd minis on there too and they look great as well

It came in a 4 long mailing tube and even just out of the packaging it lay mostly flat and looked pretty good

Arrived quick well packaged but…there were several slight blemishes where someone had dripped something onto the mat

Competitiveness

I really like this mat not very expensive compared to other products yet very durable and good print quality

There are better products but they are considerably more expensive

I got the moon pattern map for warhammer 40k stargrave and other science fiction games
