The battery in my garmin nuvi would not hold a charge anymore

Result was i did replace the battery it worked well for a short period of time took it to a professional repair man he advised i did a great installation garmin gets feedback from the repaired nuvi then sends messages when the unit is over 2 years oldthat make the unit unrepairable as its the programs that makes the unit non performable

I bought a tom tom its great never again will buy a garmin however i have been told tom tom does the same both of these companies rip off consumers with needs software update as that is created by their staffs deliberately
