It has a nice heft to it that's not too heavy. The only “negative” aspect is the bolt action mechanism.

The fit and finish is incredible. The quality is outstanding! It looks amazing.

Bastion feels like a finely engineered machine to help do some of the work for me. It feels solid and, for short writing sessions, writes very well. Also comes with a matching pencil.

Cons

Because the pen is heavy, if you drop it and it lands on a hard surface while in the writing position, it destroys the ink cartridges. The bolt action is way too jarring for the ink cartridge causing it to almost have a shaken effect and leak out the ... Read More

The weight combined with the smooth finish make it very prone to being dropped while trying to use it. The throw * to work the action is loose and moved around a lot. Maybe the carbon fiber one is lighter?
