Also it mentions adding acid to the battery but doesnt say specifically that the agm battery doesnt need acid

You also dont want the backup unit float directly under the water inlet that drains into the sump well so its not continually having water poored on it either damagingcorroding it or obstructing its movement

This product seems to be exactly as it should be it has not yet been used in a emergency situation however it has worked perfectly in three test scenarios where we unplugged main pump power source basement watchdog fired right up as it should have digital display worked as well as audible

Unit has a low water sensing probe that goes into your battery reservoir

I used a marine battery for my unit so it did require drilling a 316 inch hole in one of the caps
