For the price functionality and quality you cant beat this radio

I used it for a couple of weeks with the stock antenna that comes with the radio

The audio quality is comparable with the other handhelds that cost much higher

But i have had no issues with the radio

This radio is great and for the price you cant get any better

The only thing that i had trouble with was the 3800mah battery it was not meant to be used on the uv5re

If your a prepper i would recommend at least two of these in your bug out bag and one around home for any emergencies

Programming is a hasslevolume isnt greatoverall nice for beginners at a low price
