Pros
Nice fit,as advertised. Easy to use. Does what it should. I search everywhere for this adapter to fix an older lamp shade.

As others have noted tabs are insufficient for a purely mechanical binding

I cut the shade wires with a dremel used the tabs to hold it in place and soldered it firm

Other reviewers should have use a larger set of pliers as needle nose pliers did nothing to close it but a chunky pair my husband had closed them right up
