I like how the light gradually brightens before your waking time and how the alarm sound gradually becomes louder you can also turn off the early alarm sound and it will replay at the set time however the light will not turn offbut can be dimmed

The display time also dims during night hours but you also have the option to turn display lights off completely without compromising your set alarm

Additionally this clock allows you to put in batteries as a backup or in lieu of being plugged in however when running on batteries the light will not work and the digital time display will not be visible until you press one of the buttons on the back of the clock
