Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

This ball lid is bigger than the plastic from the mayo containers, and kinda a very dark green, but not exactly. These lids are a lot nicer to use than two-part canning lids. I prefer these to the traditional metal ones because they do not rust.

The lid is leakproof but you do have to make sure it's * on tight. When * on don't let anything spill or leak. The other lids are bad about leaking.

Ball jars work great for sticky items like honey. I use them to make my refrigerator pickles.

Not extra seal to lose in the dishwasher makes them easy to clean as well. They air dry pretty quickly if towel dried.

Cons

No combination of brush, sponge, and detergent gets the grunge out. What use is a food storage device you can’t let the dishwasher thoroughly clean and disinfect?

Easy to grip and open even when a bit wet as well

These are leak proof if you screw them on correctly and firmly

The metal lids end up rusting and making things taste bad

Price

Thanks for the great price and product amazon

They are inexpensive reusable and you can save your leak proof lids for canning

So ever the bargain shopper i get a free mason jar along with my spaghetti sauce

Buy these not the cheaper 2 piece ones

Packaging/appearance

I did not know i was getting six lids in a pack so now i have extra three extra lids

Competitiveness

I have previously bought another brand of mason jars for both standard and wide mouth jars and satisfied with them

I like these lids much better than the cheaper versions for mason jars

I have also purchased the offlabel black lids and they tend to stick a bit and do not fit as nicely as the ball jar brand
