I bought this telescope to encourage my children to look skyward

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This means you have to physically move the eyepiece closer to or farther away from the objective lens

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The eyepiece is held in place by a small plastic ring attached to the metal tube of the telescope

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Unfortunately after several uses of the telescope the eyepiece and ring began to fall out of their own accord

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Once that happened the tripod was effectively useless as it no longer held up the telescope

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I had to go find another nut to replace the one that had fallen out

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

If they are serious star gazers this will not be the item to buy

Nephew just ended up spying on the neighbors
