I was very impressed with the accessories the scalpel is dull but sturdy and i really would not want it any sharper for my child the spare bulb was a welcome surprise the petri dish was another welcome surprise as i was not able to identify everything in the kit when i ordered and the listing did not say

I purchased a set of 48 plastic slides that had a cellophane mount and there were so many air bubbles that you were not sure what you were looking at most of the times

If purchasing prepared slides opt for the glass but be prepared to spend a little time with your child since the glass slides are fragile

The handle feels like metal and is sturdy but many of the actual working parts are plastic

Maybe i need to goggle some guidance or check the slides out using a professional grade microscope to see if its the plastic lenses that causes the distortions seen
