The second baby is delightfully chunkier than my first. It's just as soft if not softer then the cotton mix version. I feel it is extremely well constructed and durable.
Do yourself a favor and watch the various youtube tutorials to really get the hang of it. At first this seems more complicated than it is but just refer to the manual.
Cons
No real room for comfortable placement of head, it's like the straps (that end up on your chest) are too narrow. Bad placement is just plain bad placement and it ruins what is otherwise a great carrier.

Whatever the reason the shoulder straps seem just too low to fit well over his shoulders

The boning strips that provide structural support to the front of the carrier bend in order to allow for the flap to fold down and though there are small straps to support the baby’s head when the flap is up there is no real mechanism to keep the flap down—no magnet or snap or strap
