You can take pictures through it but not at prime focus

The good quality glass means it is also fairly heavy so not recommended for small telescopes

While i was able to get some good views with the celestron zoom and it showed me the potential and convenience of zoom eyepieces it was always plagued with a light ring around the edges and the outer 4045 of the field of view always being slightly blurryastigmatism

Even though mars is currently very far away i could clearly make out the disc shape of the planet at 8mm in the baader whereas the celestron at 8mm still looked more like a fuzzy star
