This was for a 42 craftsman lawn tractor circa 1996

The problem was that the bracket had developed a notch and that causes the cam roller and into the bolt on that side discharge chute side to actually be ground flat

My deck is a bit different than some as it doesnt use a cable linkage to the engagement mechanism and it uses a different type of spring not the type shown as frequently bought together

As others have touched on this is part uses a different cam roller design than my original

Rather than using a small shoulder bolt roller and locknut this design has the roller riveted on and has what appears to be a nylon sleeve
