The 1tb harddrive is a great upgrade for the ps3. The system seems to run smoother and download a bit quicker. The ram and rpm are ideal for ps3.

When prompted by the ps3 after new drive installation, plug the thumb drive in and press select and start * at the same time. Follow the onscreen directions. Did not have problems installing it.

Cons

If the drive was actually formatted as fat32 back when it was created, we'll never know. It's unreadable by my ps3 super-slim and by the computer repair guy who hooked it into his desktop to try to check the formatting.
