It's a nice hard plastic with a rubber handle. It is quick and easy to use and has an easy to read digital readout. I keep a pair of work gloves to make it easier on my fingers.
Cons
Very disappointed with this product, and won't waste my money on this brand again. It's past the return date, so in the trash it goes. Do not buy. Aweful product stay away.
Manual is bad as well (bad english, wrong and misleading pictures) sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Very unreliable.

The car cord is long enough to reach all 4 tires for my large sedan but you do have to pass it across the inside from one front door to the other because the cord isnt long enough to wrap around the outside of the car no matter if its front or back tires

Would prefer a conservative cord length than one thats a bit too long and gets in the way everywhere

If your expectation however is to use this for roadside emergencies i think you would be hard pressed to do so on anything but the smallest vehicle
