Pros
My hair is coppery, but this does make it more brighter red. It does a great job helping my hair stay vibrant and hold the red forever.
The shampoo is wonderful. The product really boosts the colour of my hair. It's not amazing because it makes your hair super silky and soft.
The consistency is nice and thick. I don't know about the woman who said it doesn't smooth or detangle very well - that's precisely why i love it so much.
Cons
The stylist turned my hair from a lighter red to pink. I am not happy, and i hope the stylist can fix the pink parts without messing up the color on the parts of my hair that still look right.

I use it with the matching shampoo and it keeps my hair bright from one salon trip to the next
I have not tried it with the madder root shampoo when i asked about it at the aveda salon they told me it wasnt necessary
It was great in one use with the shampoo my hair highlights turned strawberry blonde tint
Price
Amazon indicates that the list price is over 20 but most aveda salons and the aveda website indicate that it is less than this
Obviously true since the price is now so high for the few left

Had this for a while and a little drop goes a loooong way
I just condition it after i rinse out the madder easy peasy watch out for this ginger
Then i put it up with a hairband so it doesnt wash out

It isnt overly done and after rinsing the scent is not strong in your hair
