I tend to use this mainly for marmalade making and it has proved to me that i need a new hob as the ring i was using to heat the pan was not getting up to the correct temperature

If youre particularly particular about the temperature of your food i would consider getting a wired or wireless one so you can follow the temperature in real time

Very happy with this thermometer didnt want to get a silly cheap one thats available on amazon for a £2 so got this instead

I was worried at first that the whole length of the needle is metal and if i only poke the tip into something then it will not be measured correctly but apparently this device measures the tip temperature as expected

This was an international order so i expected the thermometer to arrive a bit later than it did so top marks for postage and packaging arrived safe and sound in 4 days

Easy to use inserting the sensor between the thigh and the breast and the temperature showed after about a dozen seconds
