Kay scarpetta, lucy and marino characters since the very first book. This story begins with kay returning to virginia taking her old job. The next dat, she and her husband benton, were asked to go to the white house for a meeting.
Cons
This is one of the very few books in my life i chose not to finish. It’s 400 pages of drivel going nowhere. Repetitive snide remarks and soapbox tangents against conservatives.
The plot is unbelievable with very unbelievable sides. The rest is just filler.
Nobody sweat once. Not all heroes wear capes. They are just like older people except beautiful and wear perfect clothes and never get fat?
Cornwell's recent work is exceptionally “stale’. Now she's the sort of person who walks through a * victim's house and makes catty comments about how she doesn't recycle or water her plants. Oh, the cat loses her collar.
