I encountered a bit of wind for the first time the other day and i had to hold one edge of the open umbrella to keep it from collapsing

That it collapses safely on you without breaking however if windproof means that it resists the wind and stays open completely then this one doesnt do that

The opening mechanism works well its very strong but closing it completely takes quite a bit of force pressing the button will fold it but you still have to push it in to close it completely

Also the umbrella is fully water resistant meaning it wont get soaked but having water bouncing off the fabric

Great umbrella works well but keep in mind the mechanism is very tight
